In my early driving days, I got a ticket in the mail for passing a bus. I must have missed that day in driver's ed. The bus driver must have written down my license plate.

Pediatric mental health is in danger of becoming a full blown crisis. One ED with a 30% in pediatric mental health cases...Even a six year-old contemplating suicide...Some days they see 30 pedi patients with problems. That's just, just, wow... https://www.nbcsandiego.com/news/local/rady-childrens-hospital-seeing-30-spike-of-children-with-mental-health-crises/3290827/

My building is 4 stories tall. First floor is a restaurant, dentist, financial advisor (Jones), and a dentist. "Downtown" is full of dual-use buildings. Most of these buildings are over 100 years old. What's funny (?) about Vivek's post is that it's another "I'm gonna clean house because the entire government is corrupt!" That brings a lot of fans into his camp. If I'm correct, this is not the first time he's done something like this.

Susceptible doesn't necessarily equate 'are going to'. OTOH : the Ukranians have their own strategy which seems to be quite effective.

If you can get enough states to commit, it's Constitutional. I think. Could be wrong and amendments are the only thing possible.

Sidenote: If a kid can land a job at one of the refineries, it's one of the best paying jobs in the area. And young people that are willing to work and have a good mind can have a career better than almost all of their peers. Which is why, when a kid who doesn't pursue college or who drops out after a couple of semesters, lands one of these jobs, it's common for the family to throw a party after he signs his hiring papers.

Trump has done a full media blitz(at least conservative media) after the Fulton County shitshow. X is just more of the same.

@Jolly said in It's a small world, after all...: The detail is amazing. THere's one which depicts a tank, and it zooms in to show the interior. I was struck at how the modeler paid attention to the surrounding shrubbery and the chipped-off paint on the mechanicals in the interior. Go fullscreen to really appreciate it. It's at about 18:44 [image: 1693051829678-screenshot-2023-08-26-at-7.09.39-am.png]

Moochelle did weigh in on this, until Big Food quietly killed the initiative. OTOH, I think some of her stuff was a tad unrealistic, considering what kids do eat today and the waste factor. But, ever the True Believer, she has now launched PLEZI. https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/michelle-obama-launches-juice-drink-005200979.html True Believer in this case, meaning she believes in money. Or, using your current mantra, maybe her conversion can be traced back to Canadians and Nazis.

Twitter started paying content producers a bit based on interaction with their accounts, so long as they’re subscribers. Apparently getting lots of replies is much more lucrative than lots of views. That’s why some accounts have started asking questions to their followers. Example, the cute-animal account that George often quotes here recently asked its followers to post pictures of their pets. I assume that was for $
