40 years ago Mr. T gave me an autographed picture. We were in the hobby of the Hilton Hawaii Village at the time. He is a good guy. He was there, along with Loni Anderson, to film the Bob Hope Easter special. Bob was there too.

I think here is a niche. Make it: Small Inexpensive Limited range In other words, a commuter car for the urban/suburban family. Something like this, but $20K or less: https://www.nissanusa.com/vehicles/electric-cars/leaf.html

They’re effective. Ukraine should use them with extreme prejudice.

Hmmm. A politician doing what's politicly expedient and plays to the crowd. I think my shocked face is in the other room. Remember when Bush (the younger) broke the budget, but it wasn't approved until after he left office. BHO could have nixed it, but he didn't - and he could complain about how irresponsible it was. He could have undone it with the stroke of a pen.

@Mik said in The Levin Trump Interview: There are certain things that are undeniable, regardless of Levin's fawning. The press and the Democrats tried everything they possibly could, and some they couldn't, to destroy his presidency. Everything plus. His presidency was successful on a lot of fronts - regulatory relief, economy, waking NATO up, essentially ending 20 years of war in Afghanistan, his handling of COVID was probably as good as anyone else's would have been - Warp Speed got vaccines to the world in record time, increased employment for minorities, cheap energy. Agreed, although his early handling of COVID was a big fumble IMO, overall the metrics from his presidency are excellent. I've said many times that as of the January 2020 SOTU, he was on track for an easy reelection, but COVID fumbles (and election loss denial) soured his legacy...bigly. I missed this thread the first time around. Levin... wow. I used to listen to him about 15 years ago on my commutes home in the afternoon. As Jolly said, too shrieking for my taste and he followed Hannity who I really, really enjoyed listening to. Anyway back to Levin's point about Trump's ability to speak. I think I've also said before that Trump's ability to communicate, remember details, change topics, throw in funny jabs... his mind thinks so quickly and is so sharp. So I agree with Levin on that point.

Social contagion implies they really feel gay. It's probably more common to just lie about being gay, for the social credibility of being an oppressed class. It's how you know people care about free speech. In order to secure their own ability to speak freely, (an ability we grant to oppressed classes,) they pretend to be something they are not.

And...I don't know if it will sell. For some reason, buyers today do not want stained wood finishes.

https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2023/07/marjorie-taylor-greene-isnt-extreme-enough-for-the-gop/674637/ Greene was not ejected for subscribing to QAnon beliefs, or for encouraging violence against colleagues, or for blaming wildfires on Jewish space lasers, or for supporting Vladimir Putin. Instead, Harris said, Greene was punished for tangling with her fellow HFC member Lauren Boebert of Colorado and daring to take a minimal step toward governance by aligning herself with Speaker Kevin McCarthy, a conservative Republican. The vote shows just how radical the MAGA fringe in Congress is today—a wild-eyed clique implacably opposed to governance.
