RE: Up/Down Voting - yes or no?
Does the up or down vote actually change anything (like the order of replies?)

RE: Can we discuss the Tik Tok Bill?
Agreed. It is far too generic and wide-reaching. If they banned Tik Tok, I could see that. But the RESTRICT Act is far broader than that.

RE: Today's DEI meeting
You should've asked the HR lady when is she going to give someone with more melanin her position?

I blame Greenland, personally. Think about it, the warmer the climate gets, the sooner their country becomes green.

RE: Should the manifesto be released?
Publishing the manifesto indirectly leads to more school shooters. No, it should not be published. One of the only things we can do to reduce school shootings is to stop publishing the face, name, and manifesto of the shooter. Make their crimes anonymous. Impossible, maybe, but it's really the only thing to do.
I was at the mall of america yesterday. While walking on the 3rd level, I recalled a few years ago some random man grabbed a 4 year old and threw the boy over the railing, falling 3 stories. The boy lived (injured, brain impact, etc) but the point is... you cannot stop crazy. It'll always happen.

RE: Nashville School Shooting - 6 dead, shooter is a woman
@Jolly sorry didn’t know Reddit link/videos aren’t viewable without logging in, or maybe those flagged as mature content
Yes the police response definitely had an anti-Uvalde tempo to it. Good for them. Especially thinking that they are sweeping the building without knowing about the shooter the way we did. They are hunting room by room, could be an ambush, around any corner, any suspect, how brave you must be…but the lives of children certainly enhances the urgency to a whole different level.
As I told my wife today, these shootings will always continue. They seek headlines, and they get them. The name, the picture, the manifesto, it all sucks up the media oxygen, of which I’m guilty too. Further, parents worried about this happening to their child? Certainly understandable emotionally but statistically their child is 110x more likely to die while commuting to school than in the school. 110 times more likely. School shootings are ridiculously rare, relative to the cause of student deaths.

Not graphic, here's video of the man entering the school... shooting his way in, but again, not graphic:

N00b, that wouldn't change the angle of the sun. You would need to rotate the house a bit.
