I'm not getting the booster and I'm one of the guys doing the testing. I've already had my flu shot...That's attenuated stuff and probably at least a 50/50 shot at being effective.

I agree that whether intentional or not, people seemed to think that the Covid vaccine was going to prevent Covid. I never really thought that. I believed that it would minimize Covid, and I think it has done just that.

I recently got the booster and flu shot. Had Covid once, but was quite mild. Just two days of extreme tiredness. Never much of any other symptoms.

Mr. Biden told us the shot would prevent COVID.

Good for you for saying no to another booster. My spouse says no and it’s up to the teen what he wants to do. Personally I don’t think he needs to take it.

And no one here at any level of government told us the vaccine would prevent C19. They said it would probably mitigate severe symptoms and avoid hospitalization so long as there were no pre-existing conditions compromising immunity. I have no issue with the messaging.

Got my COVID-19 vaccine shot about two weeks before attending a conference where I had to interact with many people traveling from all around the world.

I look at it like an "update" more than a "booster," something more targeted to the latest popular strains, much like the annual flu vaccine. Heck, I also took the flu shot at the same visit I got the COVID-19 shot.

So far so good, no regret on taking either vaccine this year.

Sometimes, it is hard to prove a negative. If I do not get COVID or have asymptomatic COVID or a very mild case, then as an individual, it is hard for ME to say with absolute confidence that it was because of the vaccine. But, when a large population is included, then the numbers seem to prove this.

I was not aware of that. I thought it showed severe cases were less with vaccinated people.
