As a matter of fact, it's at Gordon's Food Service. Ever tried it? I know you like their sandwiches.

      Heh.

Buona is ABSOLUTELY the best beef. We just had some last week - delivered from the restaurant.

But, I occasionally buy some at our grocer as well.

They put Portillo's to shame, IMO.

Our grocer also carries Buona giardinara - which is fabulous as well.

But the biggest surprise (available only in restaurant) is their wonderful potato salad.

                  Funny story...

About 10 years ago, I was going to be working with one of my surgeon friends, Bill. The case was scheduled for 1PM and Bill was running about 15 min late at the office. It was a hernia...

So, I'm in pre-op holding with the patient, and after I did the usual pre-op interview, I was making smalltalk, waiting for Bill to arrive.

"So, what do you do for a living?"

                  "I have a bakery."

                  "Cool. What kind of stuff?"

                  "Oh, rolls, breads, etc."

Then I looked at his chart again...

                  "Oh...a 'bakery'. I see."

                  ***The bakery***

I just found out there is a store in Greensburg, PA that sells Buono Beef and Gardenia. I’m going up in 2 weeks and will pick some up.

I do not recommend gardenias on Italian beef. 😆

LOL. Have you tried them? Prolly adds a splash of color.
