Whitey's Booze and Burgers is a Cleveland area fixture since the 30's, and their chili is pretty well known up there. Now Gordon's Food Service sells it in 5 lb frozen bags. Just cooked one up for lunch and it is by far the best store bought midwestern chili I've ever had. Not spicy, but you can always make it so. More meaty than tomatoey. Good stuff.

They also have a no-beans beef and jalapeno chili that I'll have to hunt down.

You definitely wouldn't want to eat Whitey's Chili in Boston. Heaven knows what, or who, would be in it.

      I was only joking
