@jon-nyc said in Sex Offender??: Oh my god, read the kid’s whole story. It’s horrific. It is indeed horrific. That a judge would exercise his power in that way is obscene.

BTW, I took that sucker yesterday, slapped it from fifth to third and stomped it. The torque steer was so bad it scared the crap out of me. I'm too old, folks...

I have heard of other places offering something similar. I think it is a good idea with almost no negative. The US work age population is getting smaller and smaller so towns/cities/states need good working people. Any incentive will be gotten back via taxes, spending in the community, etc.

@89th said in Anyone use a Butter Bell?: I think we did that growing up. I thought it's not supposed to be out more than 2 days or so? Meh. Most of those guidelines are in CYA territory for the FDA. I’ve never had a stick of butter go longer than a week without being eaten, unless we’ve been on vacation, I’ve only ever thrown out a stick of butter once. That was when we got back from a 2 week trip. There’s little protein or carbs in butter. Mold and bacteria don’t like it. We use unsalted, but I understand that salted will last even longer.

I love her performance of "Ständchen" - a little more luxurious than most people's performance. It's interesting that she's not putting it as an encore.

@Mik said in Elephant Crushes Woman (old incident): @Axtremus said in Elephant Crushes Woman (old incident): Just curious ... who here has sat on an elephant? (For this question, sitting on or riding a Republican does not count. You have to have sat on or ridden a real live elephant to count.) Me too. Fun, but a bit scary also. Here is a sign that I saw outside a Thai national park warning people about what to do if you come across a wild elephant [image: 1697589628141-img_1837.jpg]

Watching E2. I have to give it to the writers. They’ve resurrected an old character and made it still fresh.

@taiwan_girl said in Bled to death: Coagulation is the clotting of blood. If his blood was not clotting, why would he be taking a blood thinner? That would seem to make it worse. What am I missing? "Blood thinner" is a colloquialism for an anticoagulant. Warfarin was the anticoagulant - the "thinner."
