Just wait, ma'am. There'll be more.

Need to see the amount of funding and resources each state gets from the federal government for dealing with migrants. If Massachusetts is getting close to zero such funding, of course it would have negligible capacity to deal with migrants. If Texas is getting 1000x such findings, of course it should have 1000x the capacity to deal with migrants.

How much federal funding is going to these states?

That said, I support spreading the migrants around more or less evenly across all states in the Union. It takes sweat and treasures to help new migrants settle, everybody (every state) chips in. New migrants will generate economic benefits later, everybody (every state) gets to benefit. Avoid concentrating the migrants, that's not good for cultural/societal integration.

This is a pretty tiresome business, with all the moralistic lefties suddenly seeing the reality of the situation when it affects their back-yard.
It's bloody obvious that you can't just take millions of people, but nobody actually seems to want to address the issues, they're all so busy playing politics, and this is particularly true for those on the left who are lucky enough to be in the north of the country.
There's also nothing wrong with The Dream Act. Pass the bloody thing, and also clamp down on the borders and stop all the bullshit posturing.
-
Pass the dream act, shut down the border, and triple legal immigration but limit it to high skilled H1B types.

Also, people with sophisticated accents and a predilection for wearing a monocle should be given priority.

Better idea.
Deport every SOB who is not in the country legally.
Every. Damn. One.
Expedite any and all appeals.
Close the border. Period.
Overhaul INS. Reinstitute the Braceros Program. Make legal immigration speedier and easier, but place a higher value on needed skills and on entrepreneurs. Place a high value on the ability to speak and read basic english on at least a 4th grade level.
Make it a Federal requirement that public school classes be taught in english.
And it may take a Constitutional Amendment, but cease the practice of anchor babies.

I agree with all but the last. Definitely revamp the qualifications of people who are allowed to immigrate, but stop the unskilled labor and watch ag product prices (and food prices) go 3-5x higher.

I agree with this also.

Had to look up what that meant. LOL Yes, something like that would be needed.
