So Maris played until 1969, and Bonds/McGwire started in 1986. So I'd have to GUESS it was someone like Nolan Ryan (insane career, insane stats) or Steve (?) Carlton. The other two I think could qualify are Phil Niekro (yes, a knuckleballer) or Sutton.

@LuFins-Dad said in Hunter's Lawyers: I think you missed the lead, George. The judge is at least postponing and investigating the plea deal Without going back and looking, I think the gist is, "Go away, hammer something out, you guys. Let me know when you have an agreement that's not a scam."

If he waits long enough, he's going to get up into Hillary politician fees.

Both Japan and Germany had atomic bomb programs. The Japanese started theirs in 1940. They had reached the point where they had cyclotrons and thermal diffusion apparatus. Interestingly enough, the sub mentioned in the original article was said to have been carrying uranium by the U.S. Perhaps the author is whistling in the wind, but it is a fact that North Korea's supply of uranium comes from the Hungnam region...A region where Japan did have some of their nuclear program and a region the Soviet Union occupied after WW2. Maybe there is no there, there, but it would be interesting to know exactly where the Japanese were in 1945.

At the PTG conference in Crystal City right now…they’re doing a remote concert now on one of their Spiros. Pretty interesting. Yeah, I know, Yamaha has been doing this forever with the e-comps, but it’s still fun to watch

@Jon said in NYC rebounding?: [image: 1690383054966-img_9486.jpeg] Not much for midtown as a % of inventory, but Brooklyn is posting a rebound. Surprised to see Fredericksburg, VA on the list…

Great piece. Any one of these things in and of itself is worthy of outrage. Collectively they are worthy of a lot more. It is the abandonment of rule of law.

@George-K said in Thirty Pieces of Silver: I can't wait for Kathleen Kennedy's re-imagining of the story. In which Mary courageously aborts Jesus, and we get to see HER story, where she becomes a girl boss who's super good at everything.

The opposition is about slippery slopes into a religious dictatorship. In America we're familiar with similar slippery slope arguments, for instance into fascist authoritarianism. We're all free to judge how realistic those arguments are. Or we can withhold judgment due to lack of information. Regarding the American arguments, I always considered them hysterical and nonsensical.

Both Lenin and Hitler masqueraded as being for the common man. So do our current leftists. That's not what it's about at all. It's about who wields power, and they have no other tools to overthrow the capitalism that drives the economy.

It looks like the crane had been on fire for quite a while before the incident and first responders were in the scene. 5 people injured, 3 hospitalized. My bet is most were in the building it struck…

Prosecutors said that the man struggled with alcohol and that was drunk Oct. 1, 2021, and unable to drive his daughter to the hair salon for an appointment before her 18th birthday party. That's when his enraged daughter threw lye powder and water on her sleeping father at their home in Groveland Township, northwest of Detroit, causing chemical burns that led to his death five months later, authorities said. If that's not depraved indifference I don't know what is.
