We drove up to a ski resort in WV last year. I was struck by all the cattle ranches halfway up the mountain, and the huge stocks of firewood all over the place.

@George-K said in DIY Transplant: After reaching out to Thomas Borody, M.D., who began doing fecal transplants in 1988, he suggested that Sky donate some of her healthy fecal matter to her son. From Wikipedia: In 2020, Borody announced that he had discovered a "cure" for COVID-19: a combination of ivermectin, doxycycline and zinc. In a media interview Borody stated "The biggest thing about this is no one will make money from this".[2] It later emerged that Topelia Australia, Borody's company, had filed a patent for the drug combination.[2][6] Borody was publicly accused of not adequately disclosing his conflict of interest. Wendy Lipworth from The University of Sydney's Health Ethics Centre described such behaviour as "blatantly unethical". Borody, via lawyers, denied wrongdoing.

here is a description of the ringer on ETSY This is an absolutely beautiful antique clothes ringer from the early 1900s with lovely antique typography, amazing aged wood and beautiful metal design details. Over 100 years ago this would have been used to ring out wet, freshly laundered garments. Today it is a beautiful piece of farmhouse décor. This piece is so beautifully made it's hard to believe it was created to handle daily chores. The details from the beautifully lettered advertising to the ornate metal work are truly remarkable and one of the reasons we love antiques so much. The combination of form and function that went into early pieces will never be seen again. This piece would be beautiful displayed on a table top inside or on your covered front porch or deck and oozes farmhouse charm. It would also be simply amazing in a farmhouse decorated laundry room. Measurements: approx. 27"W with the handle x 16.25"H x 7"D. The wooden tray is adjustable and can be extended out further if desired. The piece weights approximately 19lbs. All items are sold in well-loved, time-worn, vintage condition. Please read the description and review all photographs as part of the description.

That kitchen floor gives me anxiety. How hard it would be to clean up common spills while cooking.

@Copper said in Turnover: Mildly interesting - officers per capita according to wiki As of 2008 there were 514 law enforcement agencies in New York State employing 66,472 Police Officers, some agencies employ Peace / Special Officers. (about 341 for each 100,000 residents) according to the US Bureau of Justice Statistics' Census of State and Local Law Enforcement Agencies. According to the US Bureau of Justice Statistics' 2008 Census of State and Local Law Enforcement Agencies, the state of Virginia had 340 law enforcement agencies employing 22,848 sworn police officers, about 293 for each 100,000 residents.[1] According to the US Bureau of Justice Statistics' 2008 Census of State and Local Law Enforcement Agencies, California had 509 law enforcement agencies employing 79,431 sworn peace officers, about 217 for each 100,000 residents. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_law_enforcement_agencies_in_California The California numbers seem absurdly low.

I haven't used this, but Stearns & Foster makes the Costco mattress and Stearns & Foster is part of Tempur-Sealy Company. It looks like they are all made in the USA, surprising. Stearns & Foster has been a leader in luxury mattresses for decades. The heritage of this brand goes back to 1846. Now part of the Tempur-Sealy Company, Stearns & Foster beds are still among the best today. https://www.us-mattress.com/pages/stearns-foster-mattress-reviews#:~:text=Stearns %26 Foster has been a,still among the best today.
