A Talladega Train:
Link to videoThose are trucks, the cars do that at 200mph on the straightaway.
Not as fast as a Talladega Train, but I think it shows some of the speed...

I used to go to Talladega, because my son was a huge NASCAR fan. Never been to Daytona. Both tracks are super speedways, especially Talladega. Daytona may be the better experience, though (not necessarily family friendly).
Sadly, NASCAR isn't as popular as it once was. They started chasing butts in the seats (Texas Motor Speedway held 200,000 in the stands) and forgot their core fans.

You and I had this conversation years ago. I’m not a racing fan, F1, NASCAR or Indy.
But I was in the area on a project and a local invited three of us out-of-town guys to go. It was fun.

I seem to think you were the guy who described F1 as a niche-sport in the middle of a discussion about baseball or American League Cornholing or something.
