I went to Jimmy Johns today..... unexpectedly CLOSED because of staffing issues. So I went to Subway instead, they were training 2 brand new employees. Every store has a "hiring" or "signing bonus" sign in it. It's crazy.

The left thinks minorities are so psychologically weak. I'm happy to be a conservative non-racist. I just wish I could teach lefties how not to be racist. Unfortunately they do not seem educable on the topic.

@loki said in Does quitting your job make you happy?: Could you all answer the same at ages 20 to 40? Very much not at 20. I had high hopes for landing in a promising work life, but poor planning. By 40 those hopes had shrunk somewhat but not altogether. And so it went. I needed to think differently and know more than I did, and things just didn't work out.

@mik said in Speaking of building construction: https://statelaws.findlaw.com/illinois-law/illinois-civil-statute-of-limitations-laws.html Yeah, I saw that. The clock (for lack of a better word) typically starts running at the time an injury is suffered. But that's not always the case. It technically doesn't start until the "accrual of claims," which could be the point at which the injury (or its cause) is discovered. The so-called "discovery rule" allows a suit to be filed within a certain time after the injury is discovered or reasonably should have been discovered. So, the "injury" has been ongoing for a while, however, the cause of the injury was discovered only 2 years ago.
