So, the deaths haven't followed, but that could be just the usual lag. Would be interesting when the mortality and hospitalization rates get broken down by age group and whether the people were vaccinated and which vaccine was used.

That may be key in persuading certain groups to become vaccinated.

BTW, did anybody see where Eisen is battling COVID? He was fully vaccinated a few months ago...

"I am greatly sorry for the impact my actions caused (Hall) and his family," Hays said, the St. Louis Dispatch reports. "I am a good person, but I made a mistake."

He sure did - he picked on somebody that the court would believe more than him.

Re: the Alexander piano, have to listen to the Liszt Funerailles recording to hear the bass. To my ears, the “attack” in the bass is muddy but the tone is clear. Probably wouldn’t want to play fast moving bass passages on that piano but would most likely work great as long pedal points. 🤷‍♂️

Judging from the recording, the piano sounded OK - I thought it had a slightly "synthesizer"-like quality to it in the middle and upper register - but I couldn't hear anything special about the bass. Actually, I'd say the bass sounds deeper on a standard Steinway concert grand. But maybe that is merely due to the recording or the equipment I use for playback.

I have a "Yes, BUT" reply to that quote.

That wasn't just hamming it up for the show, by the way. If you watch any DRIVETRIBE or FOODTRIBE, May mentioned that they straightup killed the lights on him because they wanted him to leave to do something else in the factory, but he wasn't having it.

That's great, congrats! We are a Honda family btw. Now that it's in the past and obv YMMV (literally?) but with car buying I'm very much of the approach of not worrying too much about this deal or that deal or the sell vs lease vs used vs new. Get something (within budget) that you'll be happy driving (and watching other family members drive) for the next few years. Everything else is just in the weeds.

Best true crime doc I’ve ever seen. Also one of the only ones where the truth is unknown and I come down on the side of not guilty. My money is on the owl theory.

    😄 Seriously?

I don't know where I land, other than the original verdict should have been not guilty. There were way too many problems in the prosecution's case. As to whether or not he actually killed her I have no idea.

I thought 'the old coffee room' too.

I've done a mud run before. It was only 5K so I didn't need to be in the best of shape. It was a lot of fun, but slow going because of the mud. But it wasn't my goal to come in the top 20, just to finish.

Huh. Spellcheck is an ass. It gives you things like 'slinked', 'got another thing coming', and worst of all, 'alright'.

Brazilian steakhouses are great. Just doing this one with salt, pepper, olive oil and lime juice. Keep it simple.

Of course the rain has stopped and it's gorgeous outside now that it's too late to smoke it.

The hypocrisy is not lost on me. Trump was overly vilified on border stuff.

Fact is he had a winning political position with that - not because his argument was so good... but the other side was just so bad. The dems painted themselves needlessly into a weird open borders box.

I wouldn't say it's needless or without value. They can message against "xenophobia" (synonymous with "evil", like racism) much more easily if nothing on their side of the debate can be rhetorically associated with it.
