    George is right, it's a slam dunk for SCOTUS. The question is why do it?

    Are things getting that desperate?

    Rhodes said it’s about focusing on students and staff and helping them out where help is needed.

    “We’ve had to regroup and figure out what can we do,” Rhodes said. “School isn’t just about the English, science, and math, it’s also about how to learn about how to navigate socially, how to prepare for life and how to function in life.”

    Because in the real world employers expect you to have experience with relaxation rooms.

    Not at all true.

    I'd do Takami's Battle Royale instead.

    I read a paper a while back that the "zero COVID" policy that has been adopted by mainland China cannot be sustained long term.

    Or if it is, the CHinese economy will degrade.

    But, the CCP has put themself in a corner now.

    @jon-nyc said in $100/1000 miles:

    Nah, hydrogen is just another battery of sorts, more expensive to move than current.

    Depends on how far you have to move the current. The farther it goes and the smaller the wire, the more it drops.

    Hydrogen could be as portable as gasoline, with much the same retail infrastructure.

    @Larry said in The cost of gas the year you started driving:

    I don't remember what the price was when I stared driving, but I can remember gas wars and 12 cents a gallon gas.

    For those who have never heard of a gas war, it's when competing gas stations in a given area try to beat the other guy's price and they end up in a "war", sometimes selling gas for less than they paid for it as a way to beat the other guy.

    I always figured you could remember World Wars, not Gas Wars when you started driving... 😉

    @Horace

    He always had multiple primary opponents, everyone wanted to be the last non-Trump standing. Had the party organized graceful exits for all but one earlier in the process they would have stopped him. Like the Dems did after SC to stop Bernie.

    He looks like a former local computer store owner who "committed suicide" by stabbing himself in the chest 9 times with a chef knife.
