@Aqua-Letifer have you seen the 2021 movie?

On my list after I finish rewatching "Twin Peaks."

Yeah, I dunno either, but I'm doing it.

I agree with Winston going to Pittsburgh. But it won't restore their glory days. It is time for more substantial changes there. Like coaching.

    Ayup.

As for Kaepernick, people are already forgetting that he lost his starting position and was benched for inadequate play.

The kid was on fire when he first started. I thought he was going to revolutionize the game. The league caught up, though. Quickly. RGIII, Kaepernick, and countless others… If you can’t throw, you can only run so long.

    Lamar Jackson is already declining…

Now mobile QB’s or dual threat QBs are a different story. Josh Allen… Burrow… They’ll run, but their eyes are downfield the whole time looking for an opportunity to throw.

If Pittsburgh get’s a QB and the first highlight they show is him running the ball? SMH.. I actually walked away from the game for a while thanks to Kordell Stewart. I don’t want to do so again.

    Remember Fran Tarkenton?

But both guys were great passers. And they could read their progressions.

That's my point. A QB needs to throw the ball. Period. Being able to run is great, but you gotta be able to make the throws and read the defense.

Like I said, if the first highlight of the new Steeler's QB is a running play, I will be pissed beyond words.

Let me toss an insane idea out there. Say Manchin and Trump win the primaries, how about Manchin picking up DeSantis as a running mate?

I agree. It's an insane idea, LOL.

I was going to suggest DeWine or Hogan, but I think that would ultimately be a net negative for attracting some Republican votes. Romney would be worse…

    Who makes Costco blended Scotch?

Costco’s blended Scotch whiskey is procured from Alexander Murray & Company, a purveyor and exporter of Scotch whiskeys. It works with 12 Scottish distilleries to procure the goods for and bottle Scotch for places like Trader Joe’s, Total Wine, and yep, Costco.

    Is Kirkland Scotch Macallan?

Kirkland? If that name sounds familiar it’s because it’s the house brand of big box megastore Costco. And yes, they bottle their own brand of Macallan Scotch whisky. The independent bottlers take the full casks, mature them in their own warehouses for whatever time they like, then bottle the whisky.

Is Kirkland Canadian whiskey made by Crown Royal?

Luckily, Punch was able to uncover the fact that Kirkland’s Canadian whiskey is made by Crown Royal and their bourbon by George Dickel (although it had previously been manufactured by Jim Beam).

    Is Kirkland Irish whiskey Jameson?

It tastes a little like Jameson, but the floral aromas are balanced with a sweet creaminess that is lacking in the world’s best-selling Irish whiskey. Not much else to say, but I’m enjoying Kirkland a lot more than the last Irish whiskey I bought, which was twice the age, incidentally.

How much is Macallan 18 at Costco?

A typical Macallan 18 goes for around $150, so the $60 price is a steal. This particular bottle has a sherry oak finish and you can read more about it from the product label.

    Is Kirkland Scotch good?

This is an excellent blended whisky. It’s very smooth and extremely drinkable and for a 12 YO blend exceptionally well-priced. It would certainly rank in the top 10% of blended whiskies.

I seem to recall a genocide in Eastern Europe around 10 years ago that rated a yawn from the west, because it had no particular global ramifications.

Agreed. It was random? Anyway, I forgot to reply thanks to George, I enjoyed reading this list yesterday.

Sounds like a horrible, horrible place in which the animals were kept.

I wonder what the nature of the injuries to the deceased were - kicks, bites?

Camels can be nasty animals, I've heard, and I have to wonder if the conditions in this "zoo" were so bad that he was ill and mean-tempered because of illness.

    That's great, to be sure.

I haven't heard the word "apoplectic" in a long time - my Russian grandmother used to use it frequently.

I imagine there are ordinances that prohibit shining light onto nearby structures, however.
