In theory: Use HDMI for video. Use USB-C for everything else (data, power delivery, etc.). That said, a practical way to decide is to simply try both (with your desired resolution and refresh rate) and see which one gives you more pleasing results.

I believe the National Archives did inform DoJ. I’m ok with the NA decision. Purely partisan committees shouldn’t be able to interfere with ongoing investigations. There’s plenty of opportunity to investigate it after the fact when actual oversight - rather than pure mischief- can be done.
