    Presumably so is science.

Ok, @Aqua-Letifer … We’re ready for the recap.

Well, friend, after a truly stupefyin’ day, we wrapped it up. Wandered down the trail, toward the sunset as the man would say. Things seemed to have worked out okay for the Highwayman in the end. He got his belly full and his pants cleaned, and I think that’s about as good as anyone could have hoped for. It was a shame about the dogs puking up so much chocolate, and no one never saw hide nor hair of the Bag of Goldfish. Some things just weren’t meant to be understood in this lifetime, I s’pose. But, I do happen to know that the parking situation got worked out, and if you can keep a secret, I went ahead and took care of that aged cheese. I hope you enjoyed yourself as much as I have, and I’ll gladly see you next time.

Although for the past 20 years or so, I almost always use my mitre saw for dimensional lumber there was a time that I too would have just wired up the guard and cut away and, as you have safely advised, paid appropriate attention to safety.

I would go with a pound of ground beef at most and add some beef ribs, cubed and off the bone but not boneless. Let that marrow flavor it. I appreciate the ground beef, but there is something about the texture of the beef ribs…

    @Jolly said in Old Rockers:

We have age bias, of course.

But...I still enjoy classic rock and pop. I like the sounds of the late 1930's and 1940's, along with the jazz of the 1950's and early 60's. 2000 and earlier country is good. And when the mood strikes, I may just listen to classical all day.

Too much of today's music is drek. Rap isn't music, it's something a foul-mouthed eight year-old can do. Hip-hop tends not to wear very well. Modern country is pop from twenty years ago, rearranged.

Not to say there is no good music at all today. There is. I just think with the de-emphasis of children taking music lessons, the lessening of funding for school band programs, the withering of the live music scene and the transition of culture into consumers of life via electronic device, leaves us with less truly talented people interested in making music or even the less talented among us having the ability to recognize decent music when we hear it.

That's not bias. Rick Beato has made plenty of videos that prove all of this.

    More than 75 years!

The next comment is about Bill Gates and George Soros and a planned pandemic.

I’m a little surprised nobody has made the obvious connection and pointed out that Soros and Gates are in fact aliens.

I think if I owned Amazon, and I was criminally inclined, I might advise my politicians to defund the police.

    Those retail stores are competition.

    Texts?

Unless it's my wife or kids, I check them a couple of times a day. Other than that, if it's truly important, call me.

    Rarely is anything truly important.

An acquaintance from university who eventually went to med school used to work summers at the Provincial Coroner’s Lab as a medical examiner’s assistant. I remember him saying the same about the stench of floaters and that they tended to fall apart when handled.

My firemen friends said that month or more old corpses in apartments made for bad call outs as well. One said that as soon he would walk ten feet into a four or five storey walk-up, he could tell how bad it was going to be regardless of what floor the corpse lay.
