I agree, in the big scheme of things it doesn’t matter whether it was or was not done. As Jon pointed out there are other transcriptions that he says sound better. Regardless, the time and effort must have been worth it to her. Will just have to see how her transcription stands up to the test of time.

@jon-nyc said in All Work and No Play….: Probably the best known Peruvian food which you can find anywhere is ceviche. Now I remember the restaurant where I had ceviche. Interestingly, it was there presented as being Mexican food.

@Jolly said in When you "buy" digital media: but technology has marched on... Yep, that is a problem. I have music on CD's. Now, everybody uses streaming. Even a lot of cars today do not come with a CD player any more.

@George-K said in Two Spoonfuls: Of course it's a foamy mess, all over the place. The good news is very few people do this twice.

Seems reasonable that device based verification is the way to go. As for the VPN stuff, obviously that would be any TX user rather than just underage users.

Relates to an earlier forum thread about immigrants that are more willing to work at the 3 - D jobs (dirty, dangerous, disgusting) for lower pay.

I talked to a guy who's building an AI system last week. He said something interesting: Whatever technology helps us out with, it makes us also suck at it. We downgrade from "good" to "good enough." Used to be, there was a lot of variability in drivers. But with today's lane assistance, anti-lock breaks, backup cameras, smart speed control, etc., etc., it's made the shit drivers safer and the good drivers worse. Good and bad drivers alike now use the technology as a crutch. Which means, with AI doing everything for us now, just imagine the spectrum of things we're going to suck at.
