Looking at Jolly's Wikipedia link, I don't see anything about this being a tradition in Northern Eastern European countries either. Being of Lithuanian/Russian heritage, I just assumed it was.
It's a strong tradition in many areas of South Louisiana.
And it can be very competitive... Guinea eggs boiled point down in coffee grounds are very good ...
Also around here, we have quite a few families of Czech descent...They paint eggs.

XB1 is an abbreviation for the Microsoft gam console - XBox 1. And a lot of that video looks like the Flight Sim App to me. The Flight Sim is getting better at looking real.
