@Axtremus said in Screw 'em.: The "police you wanted"? That's where you go wrong. The police most people want are the police that prevent crimes and arrest criminals, rather than the "police" that harass, beat, or even kill innocent people. Police who prevent crimes and take down real criminals will be applauded. "Police" who use excessive force or kill innocent people should rightly be criticized. The "police" who witness crime in progress yet decide to nothing is not the "police" anyone wants. The protests you see in the news are not against police taking down criminals, but against "police" using excessive force or killing people who do not deserve it. This right here is exactly why our nation is in trouble. This kind of stupid logic.

It's lucky for the insurance companies that they have lots of customers, like us, who can pay the increased premiums to cover the riots. I'm sure Mr. Biden and his cop killer supporters appreciate our contribution.

A lot of kids still have to take the MCAT in person over there, due to a whole slew of stupid circumstances. One of 'em posted his drive in to the testing location passing one of those.

Yeah. But getting in to Harvard has always been more important than getting out.

Considering Joe, does not that capture the essence of the candidate? Concerning a certain age group, anyway...

The judge knows it won't stick. It's a message. I wouldn't mind being his neighbor. It's time to quit protesting people at their homes, no matter the political persuasion of the person being protested against.

Is blm support just for criminals? It might help their cause if they could find a law-abiding citizen to support. It's possible they do I haven't tried to find one.

Peloton gear is ridiculously over-priced. You can get a decent quality electro-magnetic exercise bike for a fraction of the price they charge. Also, the serious cyclists I know don't go anywhere near it - they use Wahoo for the hardware and Zwift for the software.

Just for fun, here's the continuation of the dataset for cycle lengths up to 20000. [image: 1600256262344-1549ea7c-ea85-4eca-aea0-3b73c980f9aa-image-resized.png]

@LuFins-Dad said in Home: Buying vs Renting: Are you including your Condo or HOA fees? Homeowners insurance? I take it that you haven’t had any major expenses such as a new roof or HVAC system? Oh, don’t forget to add your property taxes... Yes, owning is ultimately better than renting, but it is a closer thing than most realize. Yeah we have condo fees, a total of about $60,000 over 11 years, as well as insurance, taxes, etc. I didn't want to muddy the original post with too many details, but those are 100% relevant. Luckily we haven't had any major work needed. And yeah, it's definitely a closer thing than most realize especially if you factor in the "your home value might actually stay the same or go down" over the short/mid term.
