I'm fairly sure Trump is teetotal.

Ditto. What a life of experiences.

@jon-nyc said in Do rental cars get driven hard?:

I shared my view in the other thread. Nobody pays $$$ to rent a high end sports car without getting their money's worth.

But your average business renter who gets the Camry or the Ford Focus probably drives like does his own car.

    Yep.

That first officer seems pretty wimpy.

That panicky crybaby stuff just shouldn't happen.

What if you take a dump?

Why does one say "take a dump," when, in point of fact, you actually leave one?

I know only a fraction of the words of most native speakers, yet "elide" sounds quite familiar to me. For some reason it shows up in scientific papers quite frequently.

That's more or less how I have approached this question the past nine years. Strangely enough, I don't regret doing so either.

They toppled statues of Washington and Jefferson last night here in Portland. Draped a large American flag over one of the statues, and lit it on fire.

I expect riots this weekend, to coincide with the Trump rally. Would be a good counter to Trump getting the spotlight, and a field day for the media.

It's weird to see a statue of a founding father, with a burning American flag on it. Sad. Like that scene in Planet of the Apes where the Statue of Liberty is busted up on the beach.

Who would ever build a wall?

The Qing Emperor of ancient China and the Communist government of the former East Germany. Donnie promised to build one and so far he’s not getting it done. LuFin’s talked about it too but I don’t know whether he’s started.

H2 blockers increase gastric pH and reduce the bioavailability of doxycycline because of reduced absorption. Same hold true of PPIs, and also the calcium carbonate or aluminum hydroxide antacids (tums, maalox) which neutralize gastric acid.

This is about day 14 of my green tea habit: I've been drinking 5-6 cups a day. ("Cup" being about 7 oz of good stuff: 12g of tea, brewed for 10-15 sec at a time.)

I've lost about 6 pounds (same eating habits), my blood pressure's gone down from about 145/90 to 125/85, my heart rate's down to about 54 bpm, and I'm sleeping a lot better in terms of quality and duration. Also the theanine's making me feel pretty good generally throughout the day.

Seems to be a plus overall.

Either that, or you've contracted HIV. I've heard that can happen with people overdosing on artisan teas.
