@axtremus thanks, the idea of protected classes is silly to me, as is the idea of crimes being classified as a “hate crime”. Crime is crime, and classes of people (groups) are just that…adjectives.

Yup, people will use their race when it is to their advantage. People say: "We want to be treated equal and everyone should be colorblind" But also say: "Wait, when making the new election districts, this one does not have enough (whites/blacks/spanish/asians, etc). You must remake it to get more/less of that color into the district!!!!"
