I have heard about this happening in places like Laos and Cambodia and even in African countries. China provides infrastructure but loan terms can be really difficult for the country to repay, as well as tying the country into using Chinese technology for almost everything. This could turn out to be a big problem long term.

I think that most people in the US (and probably in the world) will have a "reduced pay" for the coming year. I dont think a lot of companies who have people on salary will give 7% raises .
