HALO
-
For those who don't know, HALO is a FPS game that's been around for a long time. I'd guess 10 years or so?
Anyhow, it's been made into a sci-fi series. I've always been skeptical of video games being turned into movies or TV series.
I've watched about 4 out of 9 episodes in season 1.
Not bad.
At times the CGI is pretty clunky - the "aliens" just don't look right, and "video game-ish." But the story is pretty solid and, so far, I'm enjoying.

The story behind the games was pretty good.
But Halo is a continuation of Marathon, which was an old-school FPS where much of the story was told through various terminals players had to access.
That, was actually some damn good sci-fi writing. They even used the graphic design of the terminals in unique ways to add to the story.

You betcha. But Marathon had by far the better story.
Also look into I Love Bees.
That was pretty fun.

I know next to nothing of the game.
But as someone who is ignorant of it, I've enjoyed:

I have spent hundreds of hours with Halo.
I have the full Master Chief collection on XBox and last year bought the Master Chief Collection for PC.
I still have the original Combat Evolved working on the PC, it starts up instantly unlike the new version. If I remember correctly the sequel and 2nd sequel stopped working on the PC.
