For those who don't know, HALO is a FPS game that's been around for a long time. I'd guess 10 years or so?

Anyhow, it's been made into a sci-fi series. I've always been skeptical of video games being turned into movies or TV series.

I've watched about 4 out of 9 episodes in season 1.

    Not bad.

At times the CGI is pretty clunky - the "aliens" just don't look right, and "video game-ish." But the story is pretty solid and, so far, I'm enjoying.

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

The story behind the games was pretty good.

But Halo is a continuation of Marathon, which was an old-school FPS where much of the story was told through various terminals players had to access.

That, was actually some damn good sci-fi writing. They even used the graphic design of the terminals in unique ways to add to the story.

Wasn't that the best FPS game on the Mac, back in the day? That and "Quake..."

You betcha. But Marathon had by far the better story.

Also look into I Love Bees. 🙂

          That was pretty fun.

21 years, amazingly enough. It originally came out on the first X-box - it was really the first time a FPS had succeeded on a console.

I tried playing the remastered trilogy last year on my PC, but kind of lost interest - games have moved on.

            I was only joking

I know next to nothing of the game.

But as someone who is ignorant of it, I've enjoyed:

I have spent hundreds of hours with Halo.

I have the full Master Chief collection on XBox and last year bought the Master Chief Collection for PC.

I still have the original Combat Evolved working on the PC, it starts up instantly unlike the new version. If I remember correctly the sequel and 2nd sequel stopped working on the PC.
