Been there, done that. Link to video [image: 1651922948016-img_0022-copy.jpeg] Sadly, they're currently out of business because of a dispute with the company that owns the tracks in that region (The Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad). The OCSRR does steam-powered rides up and down the coast. Been there, done that too. [image: 1651923110371-img_7568-copy.jpg]

Vaccines mostly keep them from getting seriously ill or dying if they do get the virus, and reduce their transmissibility after if indeed they get the virus. Right, so you really didn't fix anything. Fix? Maybe too broad a term. In the 65+ world, it made a difference. At least for awhile. It pretty much became a waste of time having the shot once Biden stole the election. That guy ruined everything. Welk, you're two for three on this one...

Mrs. George is a huge green onion fan. (I mean, she really likes green onions, not that she's huge...) Tell me more. Just chop 'em up and throw 'em in a baggie?? Yep. They just won't be crisp when thawed, but they're fine to cook with.

It is always easy in the rearview mirror to say that this was wrong and that was wrong. Hopefully, we learn from any mistakes and errors. However, to say that the US was at the center of this and it was a power play by the CDC and other authorities in the US is somewhat nave. If it was only the US that did things in response to COVID, I would say, "okay". But it was pretty much a worldwide response, without taking direction from the US.

@Larry said in The Age of the Absurd: @Aqua-Letifer said in The Age of the Absurd: Prager's tragedy porn addiction seems to be going well. Are you trying to accuse Prayer of being addicted to porn? Nah, Al's on his usual soapbox, decrying that anybody who does not like the direction society is heading and writes or says something about it is engaging in tragedy porn. At least I think so, unless he's talking about butt-fucking a twelve year-old.

I know that Python is a popular "beginners" language, but I'd also mention that, in my opinion, Python is way too weird and incoherent to be suitable for that. For instance, I fired up a Python interpreter with this little example here: [image: 1651857702576-f1eedc84-0194-4bf4-959b-244bdd50eace-image.png] And there are hundreds of similar examples of Python semantics that is completely bizarre to a beginner.
