@George-K said in I'm sure it was baby powder: The volunteer reportedly found an envelope on Nov. 4 that contained a white powdery substance and a letter that contained vulgar language, which they threw in the trash that was later disposed of by cleaning staff. The campaign office’s head of security called the police a day later when he learned of the letters. Welcome to Planet Earth, Volunteer! Lemme explain how we on our planet handle threatening letters that accompany suspicious contents! Nice they finally got around to notifying the head of security.

Watched it last night. It's a parody, unless you think Madonna actually let Al screw her, in exchange for him writing Like a Surgeon, so her record sales would take off. Or that John Wick was sent to kill Al (unsuccessfully). It's a bit slow at times, but there are some funny bits and Radcliffe does a credible job playing Al.

Best line I've read lately...John Fetterman could count the votes faster than Maricopa County officials.

That was quite interesting. But it makes sense that the caveman ate what was around. If they tried to concentrate on only a certain type of food, they would probably to survive.

Probably the biggest challenge in my job is persuading customers with MBAs that my ideas are theirs precisely because they don't know what they're doing when it comes to the area I work in. I refuse to speak to people with MBA’s. I’m happy to be condescending to people with doctorates but I draw the line at MBA’s Nah c'mon, they're fun. They don't know when you're poking fun at them so you get to kick the can down the road some more.

@jon-nyc I just discovered it late this week. One of the lawyers I sort of follow read it in his youtube channel, commenting during the read. He makes a great comment about the part where the brief cites "A Modest Proposal," while claiming that The Onion is staffed by better, and smarter, writers than Jonathan Swift. It's great Onion reading.

I love cold soda water. I drink almost no alcohol anymore (migraine issues, and it is sometimes a trigger) so my favorite beverages a dinner are either soda water or NA beer.

@George-K said in Don't rinse your bird: washing an uncooked turkey can splash pathogens, like salmonella, onto other kitchen surfaces, according to the United States Department of Agriculture. And therefore can lead to serious foodborne illnesses. Thus the millions upon millions of cases of foodborne illness from washed turkeys every year. (Eyeroll.)

Efficiency, no matter how great, never removes the burden of repair and replacement. The beauty of a traditional bike drivetrain is that it can last years or decades, but when it does crap out, the parts are very easily machined and installed. Still pretty cool, though. I'd want to see it in a 'cross race before I buy one.
