Dead people on Facebook

It’s odd when Facebook says “wish XXX a happy birthday” and you know they’ve been dead for seven years.
Today’s is a sad case. Her husband worked for Marsh Mac and died on 9/11. She committed suicide 7 years ago. I wasn’t that close to them, usually saw them through friends but we did go out just the four of us a few months before he was killed.
She was a fantastic pianist and had an older Steinway grand.

Sorry to hear that!
Facebook really needs to get a handle on how to deal with dead people. In 20 years (or whatever) there'll be more accounts from dead people than living people. According to my children, still using FB is a reliable indicator that that person is so old that he or she will die within the next 5 years.
