Not sure that I agree with him, but good to hear different viewpoints.

@Aqua-Letifer said in A weird thought about classical music...: @Horace said in A weird thought about classical music...: And opera singers are cover artists, and ballet dancers are cover artists, etc. If anybody wants to tamp down the respect people have for those who choose to learn an instrument and play classical compositions as well as they can, they are free to use their words to frame that activity as dismissively as they can. Meanwhile, the performers will continue to create some art in the moment, which maybe they and others will enjoy and find value in. Just to be clear, I think a lot of great self-expression can come from playing classical music. I just don't think the entire worth of a performance should be measured by technical accuracy. No, but we lend oversized credence to extremely small differences. Over emphasizing dynamic changes… small differences in rubato.. Etc… Frankly, the closest that anyone has come to an analogy is the Shakespearian actors. But I think that we can all agree that there are far bigger differences between Michael Gambon and Anthony Hopkins King Lear than there are Van Cliburn’s and Trifonov’s Tchaikovsky #1….

Pastor Mark replied: Mrs. Kxxxxxxxxx. You and your husband are correct. Any email that is not from Pastor Chris's original address chuXXXXte@***** is bogus and a scam. There have been reports of members in other congregations receiving similar attempts to steal monies. It started a few years back, scammers started trolling church websites, using legitimate clergy names but using bogus addresses, hoping readers wouldnt notice. You caught the criminals redhanded in their attempt to steal. I'm not sure why they chose this moment to target our church. They may keep trying. Vigilance like yours is the only deterrence we have. They only go away when their tricks yield no results. Sadly, they'll only end up subjecting other congregations to their cheating scams. I advise Please share no personal info with anyone. Not even your phone number. If you get any phonecalls pitching this scam, id hangup asap. And then permanently block that number. Ive had members get scam calls, falsely claiming to be a grandchild by name, saying they need grandpa to send money orders or gift cards on account of some bogus crisis. Bottom line, follow your instincts. They have already served you well. If it sounds fishy, it is. Thank you for being careful. Grace and peace Pastor Mark

Nationalism is evil. I know this because all the people who use the word, use it to describe bad people. Bad nationalist people. That’s how I know nationalism is bad.

@taiwan_girl said in Good bail for a Jan 6 lawyer: I know. There must be some conspiracy of Bush/Obama/Trump/Biden appointed judges etc that doing this. Indeed, they meet monthly in secret at undisclosed George Soros funded venues to set their respective globalist agendas.

https://mashable.com/article/open-ai-google-youtube-videos No surprise I dont think. Both OpenAI and Google turned to transcribing YouTube videos to further train their AI models, which may violate creators' copyrights, the New York Times reports. The report details how the two tech giants, along with Meta, cut corners to access as much data as possible to train their AI models. According to the report, OpenAI used Whisper, a speech recognition tool, to transcribe more than one million hours of YouTube videos. It then fed the transcripts into GPT-4, the powerful AI system that the latest model of ChatGPT's chatbot runs on. Google, which owns YouTube, also transcribed YouTube videos to train its AI models. The transcription of videos by both companies may infringe on creator's copyrights to their videos. Other uses of creator content to train AI has prompted copyright and licensing lawsuits. OpenAI's use of YouTube videos also may violate Google's rules, which prohibits the use of its videos for "independent" applications and "automated means (such as robots, botnets or scrapers)" of accessing its videos. and ...the report alleges that people at Google knew about OpenAI's unauthorized use of YouTube videos and neglected to take action because it was doing the same thing.

No, I would think something is wrong, if you had a definitive thought, instead of some byzantine mumbo-jumbo that would be looked at askew by anybody engaged in normal conversation. Alas, I am not disappointed. The same remains so, as it ever is. And that verse from Timothy left a mark. Bwhahahahahahahaha!
