Look at the bright side...That's a couple of nice fires in the fireplace or you have some smoking wood. The new battery chainsaws are much better and will cut bigger stuff than they used to. Might be time for a new tool, if you don't have one. Something else you might consider for trimming limbs: https://www.harborfreight.com/95-in-7-amp-corded-electric-pole-saw-62896.html Yeah, they take a cord, but they're cheap and they work well for limbs they can reach, should you decide to trim some smaller stuff. For limbs a bit higher, this is slow as molasses, but does work: https://www.homedepot.com/p/High-Limb-48-in-Manual-Chain-Saw-HD14049CS-48/301790942

They are a particularly sorry bunch, from what I gather.

@George-K said in SCOTUS: No faithless electors: The issue arose in lawsuits filed by three Hillary Clinton electors in Washington state and one in Colorado who refused to vote for her despite her popular vote win in both states. In so doing, they hoped to persuade enough electors in states won by Donald Trump to choose someone else and deny Trump the presidency. I just now read the whole story. Yes, not surprisingly, the issue is one of righteousness, by left-leaning folk. While the left fantasizes about pro-Trump electors stealing the election in 2020, their side already tried to steal the election through those means in 2016.

Yeah, the landline thing is supposedly illegal. That really hasn't worked out, has it? I probably get 4-5 calls per day from "Unknown Caller," "Out of Area," or some other crap like that. I ignore them and let them go to voicemail. If there's no message, they're blocked.

I have sympathy for that view since the effective R never really got below 1. But in most of the country we’re clearly in the second wave of reacting to it. But really I don’t know how useful it is to fight over who gets to define ‘wave’.

This strikes me as one of those problems that's answerable with a little elbow grease. Is it interesting to get into for some reason?

Fried is not the same thing as unhealthy. It all depends how you fry it.

You mean by rejecting my notion of a president's power over the economy? Or do you mean something else that you've imagined?

Love it. That was brilliant. A marketing bonanza, pivot off the election cycle. Remember these entertainers are losing a lot of money with sheltering in place. They need to keep their names out there so the public will spend where they can for them.

If it weren't for leftwing nutjobs like you running these cities into the ground there wouldn't be a need for sending in the feds in the first place.

You're used to 'free' wifi in airports. Lots of metros just have free wifi with no password. Plus people live mostly by routines so even if you do sign up you just need to do it once. I get free ATT wifi in Starbucks all over. I suppose I had to sign up many years ago. I haven't been to Seoul since before the smartphone revolution but I'll bet its pretty seamless.

Case reports on this every year. Caused by Naegleria fowleri, it goes up the nose, passes through the cribriform plate at the base of the skull which separates the nasal passage from the brain right above. Pretty awful way to get ill Entameoba histolytica causes just dysentery. A lot less fatal although it can cause a liver abscess by invading through the colon directly into the liver. (which is called colloquially an anchovy paste abscess because of its consistency) seen a few of those.

As far as they're applied now, I think the CMOH and Knighthood are different in nature. He doesn't mention the Victoria Cross, which is awarded for valour to military personnel, (or George Cross, the civilian equivalent), which I would have said is a closer equivalent to the MOH.
