This will be a strange statement but I’ve always felt if the Dutch did the holocaust instead of the Germans, there wouldn’t be a Jew left breathing in Europe. Theyre efficiency is astounding. (I notice it in Dutch surgical clinical trials. They are amazing. )

Indeed, they have to rest quite a bit. It takes a lot of energy to rev up those little wings. The alpha males and females use their rest time to scan the area and protect their territory, including their favorite feeders. When there's an unwanted hummer going to a feeder, that's when the excitement starts. Much chasing, dive bombing, soaring up high, and chattering. It's like watching planes in an aerial dogfight.
