America can’t meet the basic needs of its population because it’s still focused on debating the merits of slavery & maintaining structural racism.
And so, this is the twilight of the American empire, the inevitable collapse of a nation built on hypocrisies & unrepented sins.And right here on TNCR we still get nagged for observing that there is an undercurrent of hatred for America on the left, one which causes them to salivate at the prospect of America's destruction.

Yes, look at all the countries that meet these needs so much better than the USA.
Maybe if the USA stopped meeting the basic needs of half the countries in the world it could do even better for itself.

Really, though? I think that's pretty freaking hard to argue at this point. They'd have to prove a negative whereas there's a mountain of evidence that points to it.

You might not agree with the old ACLU, but at least their mission was Free Speech, not "let's pick and choose" speech.

The word "peace" or its variants ("peaceful," "peaceably") etc., appear three times on that site. Two of them are referencing things that happened over 60 years ago.
None of them address what's happening now.
I guess that qualifier from the First Amendment isn't all that important to the ACLU.
