I skimmed it but I don’t think he said a single thing we haven’t been saying for at least a week.

Today's run was for milk, bread, eggs and a bit of produce + three things for my in-laws. If I couldn't get it, I wouldn't have worried. I have at minimum 60 days supplies, including sugar, salt, soaps, flour, canned and dry milk, canned vegetables, pasta, spam, peanut butter, one freezer full of meat and one full of vegetables.

Good Lord willin, in the next 90 days I'll lay in 75 jars of green beans, 30 pints of corn, 25 pints of field peas and 20 pints of butterbeans. That's not counting tomatoes, squash, eggplant and peppers. Then I'll think about the fall garden.

I think density is a factor. They have one big city, and its not that big.

But their CFR isn't all that low anymore, and keeps steadily rising.

When was the last time Purdue was the National Champion? Oh yeah...never.

Big Ten champs? Not since 2000. Lets see that would be about 7500 days.

So take that you Boilermaker swilling troll. 😘

Ecmo outside of a hospital setting seems really unlikely.

    I wonder if he’s still on O2

This event will receive so much examination for years.

There will be constant revelations about people who got surprisingly sick and those who surprisingly did not.

We'll learn a lot in the process.

We have a VA backed mortgage and were sent a notice that we had a 60 day allowance with no penalties. Paid anyway, but I am considering what refi options might be available now.

One of the things that I hope will come out of this pandemic experience is people staying the heck home when they are ill, even if only 'under the weather'. It's disgusting to go to an event for extended family, or some other social event, and have one or more attendees with obvious illness, sharing food from the same containers, wanting to have a hug, etc.

No more of the disgusting sharing of your germs, people! Learn from this, please. [/rant]

@Mik said in Spotted at the supermarket today...:

I do both of those things. Nothing gets handled by hands before it is wiped down. Any packaging that can be discarded is.

Wipe, empty, discard. Exactly what I do.

I read that. That is pretty amazing!!!!

Maybe the leaders of Wimbledon are the ones behind the pandemic? They paid $X million to the Chinese to launch the virus so that they could get the insurance and make money without having to worry about doing the tournament

@Aqua-Letifer said in Maryland's ramping up:

@LuFins-Dad Kind of a blip, but even if the rate of increase isn't that bad, there still seems to be a positive rate increase.

Yesterday was a 26% jump, today was a 12% increase, more in line with what we would expect to be seeing.

My grandfather built a sailing ship out of matchsticks - it was good enough to get him in the local paper, but sadly I have no idea what happened to it.

I wonder how long it'll take before job applications stop asking whether or not you received your degree online.

I'm guessing that too, mark. Would explain part of the random severity of the disease in some and not in others.

Ignorance is so dangerous to all of us. But this, is ridiculous.

And yes, they are idiots. Anyone who threatens or harms a medical worker should be immediately arrested and incarcerated.
