@larry said in I tell these people the same thing I tell the Trumpists …: Let's see... You totally ignore the threads talking about the ineptness of your president and the democrst party, but take the time to tell us youve lost one of your porn sources..... Okay that is pretty funny.

This is a case where I can see both sides. Hope they find a way to split the baby to the benefit of all.

@george-k said in Today's Medical Mysterie: @mik said in Today's Medical Mysterie: He's in afib. Actually no. Sinus arrest, and asystole, followed by junctional escape in the fourth panel (at a rate of about 20). In the 5th panel you can see the sinus kick in, just before the junctional beat (3rd beat). Then, sinus rhythm. I just thought it was funny because of the "no squiggles" comment. I don’t get it. I thought the no squiggles comment was absolutely correct. Must be an anesthesia thing.

@89th said in We are alone: We are absolutely alone in the universe. Or at least, effectively alone. Even if some life-supporting planet was out there, I’d imagine the life biology, evolution, and communication style would all be so different, it wouldn’t matter. For example, let’s say a planet 75 million light years away has a healthy population of frogs. Ok great, I doubt the frogs would be able to send a message to Earth. Let alone to a fellow frog 100 feet away. Also, IF (and this is a big IF) the frogs has the ability to view Earth from 75 million light years away…. they would see dinosaurs, not people. Frogs? I wasn't expecting this turn in the conversation, but it's a nice addition . My froggos approve. It took much discussion on their part.

That stops people dying. We're not going to stop it spreading until lots of people who think they don't need it get it. If the concern is stopping this thing before a vaccine resistant strain pops out, the risk is far greater from the billions of unvaccinated that want ITV than the 70 million or so in the US that don’t want it. A single shot in an unvaccinated person wherever they are is going to go farther m in slowing the spread and decreasing serious cases than a third shot for someone that is already going to be fairly insulated from serious COVID.

All the sudden, a small riot at the Capitol doesn't look nearly as important as some people made it out to be.

@brenda said in Home Decor Sins: Our house is over 120 years old. Their remarks about making a house "look old" made me laugh. Ours is over 70 years old. It has small bathrooms. Except, every bedroom has one. lol Who needs a giant room to do those activities anyway? Waste of space IMO.
