No, here the Board of Education does not get to hold any “private meeting”. Every board meeting has a non-public session where certain personnel/disciplinary issues are being dealt with. But never an entire meeting that is closed to the public. Socially, the board members are careful to not have too many of them attending the same event less they accidentally make quorum and run afoul of the rule against unplanned/unannounced “meeting.”

We've had the call that we have to wear masks at work in 'common areas'.

Another good reason not to mix with the office hoi polloi. I'm going to start closing the office door - I've been waiting for an excuse to do this for 18 years.

This should be in the "Joe Manchin betrayed us, and we'll browbeat him to support our agenda" thread.

we rarely go out to dinner since MS really can't enjoy the food

Yes. This is a real thing, and a huge problem. D2 lost 25 lb at the peak. Now, 14 months later, she's still struggling, but slowly, slowly improving.

    No-nos include bacon, carbonated beverages.

Everything has to be spicy, or it tastes like cardboard (which is better than tasting like rotting meat).

Is this what MS is experiencing?

    No bacon?😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😵😵😵😵😵😵😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱

To add more credibility to the story, he should have snapped the picture of her napping without her mask or with no drink in front of her.

Good point. To quote a very famous newsman, this could be "fake but accurate."

There are hundreds of photos of our betters unmasked when regulations require them in various places - like the White House.

Witness Biden in Kentucky recently, hugging everybody in sight. Biden didn't have his mask on...

The President is directing the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to activate additional staffing and capacity for the National Response Coordination Center (NRCC) and FEMA regions, and to mobilize planning teams to work with every state and territory to assess hospital needs ahead of winter surges, and to start expanding hospital bed capacity now—with the federal government paying for all of it.
