I like to listen to Roundabout when driving through a roundabout.

Found out a while ago that this song is very popular in the Anime community. It is used as the ending theme for the first season of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: The Animation

I was listening to Fragile one day when my daughter and her friends all started telling me how much they liked Roundabout and that it was theme music for one of the shows they liked.

To piss me off in the car as a kid, my dad would crank that shit and sing along loudly and annoyingly whenever it played on the radio. 😄

Interesting article. It seems, for many reasons, that the J&J would be the best vaccine for many less developed parts of the world. (one dose, logistics of transport and storing, etc)

It's terrifying that we have elected officials that could even consider such a thing.

Well, it looks like Santa is bringing us a new Lennox system. Installation is on the 29th. The current system is running too inefficiently now. It's been switching over to auxiliary heat at night...I really would have preferred to wait another year but...

We went ahead and purchased through Costco as I just don't have the time to dedicate to finding the best possible deal...

Wegmans originally had Instacart put together their orders for pickup but later switched to their own employees. There was a noticeable improvement. The produce selections were far better as were the product replacements if they were out.

There are idiots on the right, just as there are idiots on the Left.

There's just so many more of them on the Left...

Very interesting. Wondering if it is a "touch" or "sight" sense which makes them stop.

Some danger relax I suppose causes them to do that.

Mrs. George still misses her flip phones.

Hey, I enjoyed the size (and battery life) of the flip phone. Although the "texting" (press 8 three times to type a letter) is funny to think about now.

For me, #2 was my first one. Didn't have my own cell phone until senior year of college. I know some of you are a little older than me, but for those in my generation and younger, it's almost hard to imagine what college was like before you could just text someone anytime. We <gasp> would have to tell someone ahead of time where/when we would be and if we got there early we would just.......wait, until the other person (hopefully) showed up. What a time.

New York Times columnist implores Biden not to run for reelection: 'Alarmingly incoherent'

Columnist Bret Stephens argued that Biden's age and cognitive state needed to be candidly discussed>New York Times columnist Bret Stephens on Tuesday implored President Biden to not seek reelection in 2024 and announce his intentions as soon as possible so potential Democratic contenders could begin making preparations to replace him.

In a piece headlined, "Biden Should Not Run Again — and He Should Say He Won’t," Stephens, a conservative and strong critic of Donald Trump, argued that Biden's age, as well as his seemingly "uneven" cognitive state, needed to be candidly discussed because it wasn't healthy for him, his office, the Democratic Party, or the country to remain in limbo about what to do if he decides not to run.

Stephens also argued it would be "liberating" for Biden's presidency if he announced he wouldn't run, and that it would energize a currently "listless" Democratic Party.

Oh, in elementary school, I had one exam question that asks "what color are so-and-so's pants." It's the teacher's way of gauging if the students have even cracked open the text book. That "so-and-so" refers to a recurring character in the text book. Pretty much every lesson, every chapter in that text book features that character, and he is always depicted with the same colored pants throughout the text book.

The article keeps referencing “Walter Reed.” Does that mean this vaccine effort is all under the Veterans Administration Affairs (VA)?

Answering my own question: they are two different entities
Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR) is run by the Department of Defense.
Veterans Affairs is a different department entirely.
