I read a book a while ago (and I think i mentioned it in the old book thread on the old forum). It was about the last Union and South soldier from the Civil War.

I actually thought the book was not very good, but the summary of the book was that both of the "last" surviving solders from the North and South were probably lying.

Kind of like saying that "98% of people who have passed away in the last year had eaten corn at some point"
