I inspected the skimmer yesterday to prepare for pool opening and there was no frog yesterday. I moved the frog today mostly because I am going to activate the pump and don't want a dead frog decomposing in the skimmer later.

The nice big gunite pool is really pretty.
But after getting up every day for 35 years to check for bodies, I don’t miss it.
It was pretty, it was fun for the kids, but always in the back of your head is the thought about dragging that body out.
It wasn’t much work, that is an old wives tale.

We had a pool at the Cheddarshack. We absolutely loved it for years and years.
We didn't love it forever.
If you're not there to tend to it all the time, you shouldn't have a pool. Once a week (which we did, most of the time) is the minimum.
We used SoftSwim for our "sterilizer" for a couple of years. It's, basically, high concentration H2O2. Wonderful stuff, but very expensive compared to chlorine. But, you never had that "chemical smell" of a pool. You felt like you just stepped out of your shower.

Found a frog in the skimmer hole.
Moved it to the grassy area.
