Yep. They will look at modern medicine like we view Civil War battlefield docs. “They poisoned people to cure cancer!”.

@Doctor-Phibes said in Checked your bank stocks this morning?: Some of us can't afford bank stocks. All my investments are in turnip futures, and let me tell you, turnips are currently pretty much worth their weight in potatoes!

@Jolly said in Taibbi Speaks: If anybody actually watched some of those hearings last week, it was painfully obvious that the Dem members hated free speech. A hatred of rational discourse, or a hatred of ideas that might betray one’s own basic primate motivations of power and status, will always manifest as hatred of free speech. That’s why legitimately thoughtful people prize it so much.

He is an interesting and thoughtful guy. Not living life trapped in the primate motivations many celebrities never escape from. He’s written some fiction books about Sherlock Holmes’ smarter brother, of all things.

Figured out the oddity... The app was set up to show the annualized return over a three year period. Three years ago the stock market was having it's COVID spasms and was all over the place...

@xenon said in 'Too good to be true' bike deal: Worked out great! Met the guy at his house. He bought the bike during COVID to ride with his boys, and the boys weren’t interested in biking anymore. He gave me a bunch of extra tools and threw in his $85 bike lock. He had the original manual and all. Funny enough my son getting his first real bike prompted me to buy this.

I have been playing VR Golf for about a year now first using the Oculus Rift-S and currently I am using the HP Reverb G2 headset. I 3D printed a golf club attachment for the controller. Multi user is fun. We also enjoy VR Mini-Golf.

This reminds me a little of the elderly British lady who wrote to the Oxford English Dictionary complaining about all the rude words that were in it. Presumably, she'd just spent hours looking them up.
