@Larry said in The Age of the Absurd: @Aqua-Letifer said in The Age of the Absurd: Prager's tragedy porn addiction seems to be going well. Are you trying to accuse Prayer of being addicted to porn? Nah, Al's on his usual soapbox, decrying that anybody who does not like the direction society is heading and writes or says something about it is engaging in tragedy porn. At least I think so, unless he's talking about butt-fucking a twelve year-old.

I know that Python is a popular "beginners" language, but I'd also mention that, in my opinion, Python is way too weird and incoherent to be suitable for that. For instance, I fired up a Python interpreter with this little example here: [image: 1651857702576-f1eedc84-0194-4bf4-959b-244bdd50eace-image.png] And there are hundreds of similar examples of Python semantics that is completely bizarre to a beginner.

@bachophile interesting, I figured the callsign was the same thing as the airplane itself.

Of course I haven't told you! Don't tell anyone, but this whole gender-neutrality thing was actually organised by biologists. Soon, none of you will be able to identify the opposite sex, causing all non-biologists to go extinct. We biologists will rule the world! And they say conspiracy theories aren’t real. They are actually both real and not real until you have heard of them. Only then they will become real or not real to the observer. It’s a quantum thing.

With the right legislation, there is a slight chance that they can get a majority as there are 2 pro-life Dems and 2 pro-choice Republicans and Kamala breaks the tie… However, there’s no way they get 60 to beat the filibuster and no way they get the filibuster removed.

click to show click to show Just finished the season. Like George, I had very little idea how they would wrap it up. Not bad, but it suffered from the same malady a lot of stories have where the arc is not predefined. They are not sure what to do with it. So many characters left hanging or wasted, like Wendy’s dad.
