There are some who are better. One of my faves is moving from GMFB, probably for Amazon. If I were a young man (she's 35), I'd do Kay Adams standing up in a hammock... [image: 8206-1559801738.jpg]

@xenon said in Gen Z: Said another way - isn't what Gen Z turned out to be a reflection of how the generation before raised them? Of course it is. Now, get off my lawn.

Kid was one of the best college players I had ever seen. Came close to getting the Heisman as a defensive player and that's saying a lot. Then, he got himself kicked off the team for being an idiot...Too much fame, too fast. Kid didn't even get drafted until the third round. Took Patrick Peterson to straighten him out, and Pat put himself and his family waaay out there to do it.

@LuFins-Dad said in The Draft: @Mik said in The Draft: Any relation to Carl Pickens? he's about the right age. Bengals have really upgraded their secondary with three very fast picks. I like them all. I also like the NDSU right guard they drafted - 6'6" and 320 lbs. Add in the D tackle and I'd say we will be more solid than we were. If we can give Burrow time to work without running for his life.... No relation… But holy crap, the kid the Steelers got in the 4th might be even better. He just flat out flies. (2nd best time in the combine) and also has range (second best vertical leap at the combine)… If Kennywood, Mason, or Mitch are average as a starter, the Steelers are still relevant. About as much as the Reds are.

@jon-nyc " . . . they live in a trigger state" Nail on the head, I think. Thanks to social media, it is now not only fashionable but close to imperative in the minds of many to launch outrage on any content that veers even slightly from the bland. "Mothers, do you feed your children supermarket peanut butter? Did you know supermarket peanut butter contains SUGAR? What kind of no-nothing parent are you, you stupid fucking COW? You should be taken away and DROWNED in the OCEAN, you irresponsible fuckwit!!!!!!!!!!"

"When the spacewalkers return to their craft, remove their helmets and go through the airlock, they describe smelling a myriad of things from a Nascar race to barbeque, burning metal, brake pads,...." so astronauts are NASCAR fans.... https://citeseerx.ist.psu.edu/viewdoc/download?doi=10.1.1.392.5600&rep=rep1&type=pdf follow the science

@89th said in Happy Birthday 89th!: @taiwan_girl - that is funny! I really liked Bush Jr. I thought he was much smarter and more authentic than the press gave him credit for during his time in office. My opinion of him has only grown since then. When he released the public statement re-affirming the race narrative in the wake of George Floyd, I lost respect for him as a thinking human being. I also lost a sliver of hope for humanity in general, when someone like him can get swept up by the righteous mob group-think like that. He didn't need to say anything.

@George-K said in Will Roe v. Wade overturn violence...: @jon-nyc said in Will Roe v. Wade overturn violence...: Pretty hard to tell. How many followers does this guy have ? 50 million? Or 500? 258K. Do we judge crime by the number of people who like the criminal? Laws of my state be damned, I'll do what I think is right. Nice attitude for a candidate whose job it is to enforce the law.
