In my contract it specifically states that my employment can be terminated for any reason, or for no reason at all.

I'm not sure that it works that way in practice, as the company has very complex HR and anti-discrimination policies.

Ha no. I didn’t meet her until 2006 or so and the convention was 2004.

CNN is doing a spectacular job covering celebrations around the country, as well as earlier, Trump's speech, flyover of military aircraft of all sorts, as well as vintage military aircraft. Turn on CNN if you are not aware of their coverage, great fun. They also had some Saint-Saens, Debussy, Copland's ubiquitous Fanfare for the Rainman.

    Fox? Patriotic, right-wing Fox??
    Nothing. Nada. Regular programming.

Exactly the opposite of what I was anticipating for July 4th coverage.
Oh, and Don Lemon was complimenting how his co-host looked hot in a red dress. VERY sexist and inappropriate for CNN.

There's a blood lust on the left, and they recognize their own cultural power. Does anybody think these people will self-limit due to some abstract principles, when they could use their power and violence to impose their virtue on others? Just look at the real life examples of woke people you know and consider that question. This is the human species and it is dangerous.

Elon tweeted this. Shows their supercharging station use as a percentage of pre-Covid max. North America just returned to it’s pretty-Covid high.

I am surprised the APAC did not drop very much during the high point of the virus, but maybe the amount of Teslas on the road is quite small.

Daniel Hannan has been one of my favorite European politicians in the last decade! He made me, at least in part, a proponent of what he calls "localism". Do you generally follow him or was it just this tweet that raised your attention?

I agree, Hannan is someone to listen to. Not only was he very smart when an MEP, but he has also given lectures on American history in the U.S., well worth listening to. It's always sobering when a Brit knows more about Jefferson than most Americans!

As far as they're applied now, I think the CMOH and Knighthood are different in nature. He doesn't mention the Victoria Cross, which is awarded for valour to military personnel, (or George Cross, the civilian equivalent), which I would have said is a closer equivalent to the MOH.

Case reports on this every year. Caused by Naegleria fowleri, it goes up the nose, passes through the cribriform plate at the base of the skull which separates the nasal passage from the brain right above. Pretty awful way to get ill

Entameoba histolytica causes just dysentery. A lot less fatal although it can cause a liver abscess by invading through the colon directly into the liver. (which is called colloquially an anchovy paste abscess because of its consistency) seen a few of those.

You're used to 'free' wifi in airports.

Lots of metros just have free wifi with no password. Plus people live mostly by routines so even if you do sign up you just need to do it once.

I get free ATT wifi in Starbucks all over. I suppose I had to sign up many years ago.

I haven't been to Seoul since before the smartphone revolution but I'll bet its pretty seamless.

If it weren't for leftwing nutjobs like you running these cities into the ground there wouldn't be a need for sending in the feds in the first place.
