    Love it. That was brilliant.

A marketing bonanza, pivot off the election cycle.

Remember these entertainers are losing a lot of money with sheltering in place. They need to keep their names out there so the public will spend where they can for them.

You mean by rejecting my notion of a president's power over the economy? Or do you mean something else that you've imagined?

Fried is not the same thing as unhealthy. It all depends how you fry it.

This strikes me as one of those problems that's answerable with a little elbow grease. Is it interesting to get into for some reason?

I have sympathy for that view since the effective R never really got below 1.

But in most of the country we’re clearly in the second wave of reacting to it.

But really I don’t know how useful it is to fight over who gets to define ‘wave’.

Yeah, the landline thing is supposedly illegal.

That really hasn't worked out, has it? I probably get 4-5 calls per day from "Unknown Caller," "Out of Area," or some other crap like that.

I ignore them and let them go to voicemail. If there's no message, they're blocked.

As long as you get to keep the thumbs.

I think I mentioned this before, but a friend of my in Taiwan lost his thumb and they replaced it with one of his big toes. So, maybe we dont even need the thumbs!!! LOL

@George-K said in SCOTUS: No faithless electors:

The issue arose in lawsuits filed by three Hillary Clinton electors in Washington state and one in Colorado who refused to vote for her despite her popular vote win in both states. In so doing, they hoped to persuade enough electors in states won by Donald Trump to choose someone else and deny Trump the presidency.

I just now read the whole story. Yes, not surprisingly, the issue is one of righteousness, by left-leaning folk. While the left fantasizes about pro-Trump electors stealing the election in 2020, their side already tried to steal the election through those means in 2016.

Look at the bright side...That's a couple of nice fires in the fireplace or you have some smoking wood.

The new battery chainsaws are much better and will cut bigger stuff than they used to. Might be time for a new tool, if you don't have one.

Something else you might consider for trimming limbs:

Yeah, they take a cord, but they're cheap and they work well for limbs they can reach, should you decide to trim some smaller stuff.

For limbs a bit higher, this is slow as molasses, but does work:

That is true - you could use the existing slab as the foundation. I'd cantilever it so that the slab did not show.

Is there a step down from the house to the slab? The only reason I have a deck instead of a paver patio is I wanted teh deck level with the first floor. I think it extends the house more.

I quite liked Sting as Feyd Rautha in David Lynch's version - there was a touch of punk rock to him. It doesn't look as though the character is in the 2020 film, which would be a shame.

@xenon said in UK - 78% of those tested as positive are asymptomatic:

    Pre-symptomatic is different from asymptomatic.

It's hard to gather that data though.

Why can’t they retest that cohort in a week?
