I believe that she is tying it off or pinning it off in the back. I dont think that the clothes would fit her "out of the box" like that. Definitely some tailoring she is doing.

That was quite interesting. Has anybody here ever read the book? I have obviously heard of it but never have read it.

Correlation is not causation, but do ya think that the plummeting arrest rate might have something to do as to why crime is rising? [image: 1658236602916-screen-shot-2022-07-19-at-8.16.18-am.png]

@Catseye3 said in Sesame Street gets woked: @89th Then we know who's responsible, yes? And it makes no sense to blame the providers of the clicks when all they're doing is throwing the meat into the cage. Presuming there are no ethics remaining in journalism corporate media outlets, yes it's just a profit game.

Yes, I think so. Even if they're from you to you.

@Copper said in GM Reveals Nationwide Fast Charging Plans: @taiwan_girl said in GM Reveals Nationwide Fast Charging Plans: When they discharged, you would go to a "battery station" (like a gas station) and replace the battery pack. Is this "battery station" some kind of charitable organization? Wouldn't they just inherit the problem that the car owner would have? No, it would be the equivalent of a current gas station. They would have to have an initial stock of battery packs, and would charge USD$X when someone came in for a battery pack swap. Maybe it would be so many USD$ per % charge on the battery pack or something like that. Since the new car would come without a battery pack, it would be cheaper, but each "fill up" would be more expensive since you are spreading out the cost of the batteries over the lifetime, rather than at the initial purchase.

Interesting. Remember when the "Nighthawk," the first publicly-acknowledged "stealth" fighter was revealed in 1989 or so? My thought at the time was, "OK, if they're telling us about this now, what aren't they telling us about?"

I don't remember what episode this was, but I was struck by the choice of vehicle used by the protagonist, Al Ruddy. [image: 1658191385287-img_1330-copy.jpg]

@Catseye3 said in My Word for the Day: He sounds like a sweetie. D2 has always had a great relationship with our birds. She has the calm temperament and patience to pull them (dare I say?) out of their shells. We got Peanuts, on a whim, at a pet shop. After we got him, he was absolutely terrible. We couldn't get him out of his cage. He would bite and scream if we did get him out. It took about a year, but finally, he became more and more tame. We were all devastated when he died. Here he is with our other bird, "Max." Max was an obnoxious nanday conure who spent hours screaming. [image: 1658191051483-screen-shot-2022-07-18-at-7.35.55-pm-copy.jpg]

The militarization of civilian police equipment and tactics is quite concerning.

Do not use the self cleaning feature. Nothing kills an oven sooner. Do it by hand. Heck, it’s ultimately cheaper to pay someone to hand clean it than it is to just self clean it…

@Mik said in George is glad he doesn't live in Chicago city limits: Typo on my part. It's 2.74. And I misread the article. The $amounts listed are the expected increases, not the actual levies. I think the article could have been written a little clearer.
