@Jolly But it does lend itself to a slippery slope argument, especially if resources become scarce. Ah yes, the slippery slope argument. That’s why North Americans up here wear ice cleats when they go out in winter. I bet one or two self professed experts here did not know that.

Actually, I think both sides are doing potentially irreparable damage. You make all kinds of excuses for what Trump has done and have been dismissive of his critics from the get-go. I am dismissive of many criticisms, because I believe they are A) ginned up by a biased media and B) rendered with bias. The best criticisms of Trump are by people who would criticize Biden for the same things.

@Klaus said in First Known Amputation: Drink a lot of whiskey to remove the pain, then use the remaining whiskey for desinfection. Better than nothing, to be sure, though I'm not sure how effective EtOH would be as a disinfectant, but better than nothing, of course.

I've heard an internet rumour that some Disney characters aren't real, either. Scurrilous, I know - still, there's no smoke without fire.....

Paint yer Porsche: https://soranews24.com/2022/07/05/worlds-blackest-porsche-painted-with-japans-musou-black/ Musou Black paint is made in compliance with environmental regulations and nearly odorless. However, in order to maintain its peak black appearance, it’s not possible to wax or apply much of any protective coating to the coarse, powdery paint. This means the paint job is extremely vulnerable to the elements, especially rain. This means you probably won’t see this Porsche on the streets of Gifu anyway, but it will be on display at Pit One until the end of July. Musou Black is also readily available to buy for whatever your ultra-black needs may be, but at 2,500 yen (US$18) for 100 milliliters (three ounces), a whole car would get pricey. It’s probably best left to gunpla.

I went from running a clinical lab to working as a retirement counselor for state, parish and city government employees and elected officials. Made less money, but worked from my home office and called on people in nine parishes (including almost all of the state prisons). Had a blast. Do something different. It's fun! I have a friend who is a retired accountant, that went to work as counter help at a large sporting good store and now runs their range, along with their sponsored shooting competitions. Talk about different. It's all good.
