Sometimes, you need to STFU
-
If you are trying to persuade somebody and appeal to honesty and an even-handed approach, don't put a shiv into people who supported Trump.
Fact: Trump moved heaven and hell to fast-track a vaccine and urged people to get vaccinated. I live in a blood-red part of my state. The majority of people over 55 and a good majority over 65 were vaccinated (not necessarily boosted, but that's a problem everywhere).
Fact: I know how the FDA works with approving testing devices and kits. I've never seen them move as fast as they did during the Trump Administration.
Fact: Somebody needs to realize that there is a difference between misinformation ( the buzzword of the moment) and the fog of war. When dealing with a new disease, it is a health war. Some things will get said by politicians trying to soothe the public, that may change as more facts become known.
Fact: There have been instances in both Trump and Biden Administrations where they've had to backtrack on COVID, change gears and pursue another line of Truth.
If you wish to write an honest article on COVID, maybe the first thing you should do is STFU about the politics.
