Three probabilities for Cheney: She is rewarded for her committee performance by a cabinet posting on a sinking Biden ship. It will be essentially meaningless, but it's a resume builder. She runs for office in Virginia, probably Northern Virginia or even possibly governor in that next election (govs only serve one term in VA) cycle. Trump wins the GOP nomination in 2024. Some of daddy's buddies fund a run as an independent for The Lizard, as she siphons votes off of Trump and insures his defeat.

@jon-nyc said in Pravda would be proud: As opposed to “Bidenflation”, which might still win the Economics Nobel. That's standard tribal wordplay. This narrative about lower gas prices is like a children's book about economics, except this children's book teaches dumb ideas in an infantile way. Most children's books teach good ideas in an infantile way.

I plan to feel feelings about the state I used to live in, at least until I drive over the Arizona state line on my way to Texas. Maybe for several miles after that.

The "Person of Color Theme House" is a housing co-op located near UC Berkeley that "aims to provide housing to low-income, first generation, immigrant and marginalized students of color," according to its website. A Nigerian immigrant kid would have more in common with the white kids than they would with inner city kids trying to adjust to UC Berkeley.

But, because there wasnt any "outside" distractions, we had to bond with each other. Some great memories and great life long friends were made during those times. Now imagine some truly resourceful families rig the system such that their kids only go into that sort of situations with the kids from the right families. Now imagine...Covers a lot of insignificant ground, doesn't it? For Ax, yeah.

In many states the college kids can buy them legally. Including NY after 1/1/23

@Jolly said in Thank heaven for 7-Eleven: The solution was to station a policeman armed with a shotgun in the cooler, watching the front counter. I've redd of this as a device in fiction -- police stationed in the storerooms of liquor stores. I don't have a problem with it. Like the carny man says, "Ya pays ya money and ya takes ya choice."

I’d take the 50% odds, as long as MS took the $1MM.

Seems like it is (but I really have not know much about that race. Just that the latest polls show he is ahead.) Obviously, the votes in November will give the final answer, but I recently saw a statement by Sen. McConnel that he is concerned that the Democrats may hold on to the Senate because of concerns about Republican senate candidates. In my very small opinion, that can be a problem that the Republican primaries are nominating people who are too far to one side and cannot connect with the middle 30-40% of the voters that decide the election.

Why do you say that Rep. Cheney lied? Or are you saying that Rep elect Hageman lied?

@Aqua-Letifer said in Find the duck: I hear Season 2 will feature Johnny Depp and they get more into the duck's back story. It will be interesting to get into the finer details of ducks' backs. We've all heard about them. But what's the real story? A duck's back is so much more than its water aversion.
