Never wave a red flag in front of a bull. Or a mission field in front of a Baptist.

Even in the Jan 6 rep0rt, they called the FBI the "Federal Bureau of Intelligence" or something like that. :woman-shrugging:

I read something that Prince Charles is paying for the security for Andrew, so I guess that taxpayers are still paying it in a round way.

@Mik said in Knives Out: Glass Onion: Liked it better than the first. Really? I didn't find it as charming and humorous as the first. Norton was fun, but the other characters were boring and undeveloped. The governor? Why was it important to have that character be a governor. Added nothing to the plot and was a distraction.

I don’t care about any of that, but if you aren’t smart enough to understand the importance of supporting Ukraine you have no business in Congress.

Tom, like most of the best, will have to have a noticeable drop-off or a series of injuries to quit. Think back on Brees or Peyton...Brees still had his accuracy and timing, but couldn't throw a fifteen yard out or a twenty yard seam pattern, if you pulled a gun on him. Peyton's arm was even worse. Tom can still throw the ball. Not quite the velocity he used to have, but he can still chunk a fly or a post. He can still play.

@Renauda said in Christmas Past: @brenda More than just a little quiet. Shovelling snow, dog walk, eat, watch 1st episode from season 11 of Death in Paradise, read for a bit then sleep. Probably outlawed by Cromwelian standards - absolutely no feelings of unworthiness or guilt or any desire to read ancient texts in order to feel totally unworthy. We are all worthy, even if we don't believe it, care about it, or even think about it. Our Christmas here was also quiet, just me and hubby. Kiddo is coming here in January after another research paper is completed and submitted to a conference committee for an event in Germany. (It's not the one you are part of, Klaus. So no conflict of interest for you. LOL) I admit I rather enjoy a quiet Christmas, after having had decades of hectic ones that required much travel, demands from my mother and MIL, much tension, and little time to relax and have fun. Ahhhhhhhhh ...... I also enjoy an extended holiday season, the full 12 days and all that. This year will definitely be an extended season, and it's really a treat. More mulled wine, more gingerbread, more christmas tree lights, more fun with just the family members that know how to have a good time. We will be sure to have an Epiphany cake with the little symbolic items inside. We've been doing that for many years, mostly because we enjoy the cake, but also because the little symbols can be very fun to consider for the coming year. Cromwell might not approve, but he's not invited anyway.

The concept of bail is so flawed to begin with. If you have enough money, you can await trial at home. If not, you wait in jail.

@Horace said in Mac 'n' Cheese: the sink rather than a large bowl, and maybe the ingredients on the floor, are why we are talking about a Mac and cheese video. Therefore, those parts were of above average insight into internet meme creation. Amirite @Aqua-Letifer? Pretty much. A lot of this particular nonsense comes out of China.
