@Mik said in The shell you say: Also breakfast at Camino’s, incredible bake and coffee shop. Lunch at Bobby Boy’s, a French patisserie. Also fantastic. All baked goods here would make Paula Deen proud. Sounds awesome. You're definitely making the most out of the trip!

@George-K Variable rates are great when interest rates are low and/or dropping. I was able to pay off the 25 year amortized mortgage on my current house in 11 years thanks in part to holding a fixed payment variable rate mortgage. The bulk of my monthly payments went against the principal because interest rates were steadily falling during the years I was making payments. Just for the record mortgages on principal residences in Canada are not tax deductable. Nor are municipal property taxes for that matter.

I see it as an example of respect for both rights and responsibilities. Could use a bit of it here.

Yep, lots of R&D in electricity generation using deep sea currents, tides, and of course, also waves. Good stuff.

He aborted the shooter, but he saved lives. If I had to guess, I'd say he seems pro-life to me.

I am sure the principled and virtuous entrepreneurs at the helm of Beyond Meat dealt with this issue ethically and transparently.

Interesting, but they have to leave a gap to turn the ties. Wonder what they do at the end.

@Mik said in For Aqua: I don’t know that it’s serious poetry, but a great expression of an idea. He let the restrictions he chose always drive the writing, never the other way around. So, I'd consider it legit. It's not Virgil, but it's poetry. Hmm. When I wrote this autocorrect changed know to Lenore. Poe-tic.

Yep. There are a whole lot of conditions that occur with age and have not a thing to do with lifestyle.

@Horace said in Regional accent question: When the aliens come in search of the least interesting question ever posed, this thread will draw them right to us. I see that as an existential threat to our community. Ok I lol'd.

They're fling the mud as fast as they can, aren't they? Nothing like a combined, orchestrated effort.

@George-K LOL There are good reasons to have just one. The same is true for having more than one wife or girlfriend, or any multiple thereof. Lots of extra work to do that.
