Micro-inequities are small, subtle behaviors or comments that communicate bias, exclusion, or devaluation—often unintentionally. These actions are usually not overtly discriminatory, but over time, they can have a significant negative impact on individuals, especially those from underrepresented or marginalized groups. Examples of Micro-Inequities: Consistently mispronouncing someone's name, even after being corrected. Interrupting or talking over someone in meetings more than others. Not making eye contact or failing to acknowledge input from certain individuals. Giving less praise or fewer growth opportunities to employees from certain backgrounds. Making jokes or remarks that subtly reinforce stereotypes. Why Micro-Inequities Matter: They accumulate over time, undermining confidence, morale, and performance. They can create a toxic or exclusionary work or social environment. They are often unconscious, which makes them harder to identify and address. They contribute to systemic inequity even when no single act seems serious. Contrast with Micro-Aggressions: The terms are related. Some use them interchangeably. Micro-inequities often refer to non-verbal or behavioral slights (like body language or omission). Micro-aggressions tend to include verbal slights or insulting remarks, often more emotionally charged. In Summary: Micro-inequities are the subtle, often unconscious behaviors that make people feel excluded, undervalued, or disrespected—especially in the workplace or educational settings. Over time, they can have deep impacts on inclusion and equity.

@jon-nyc said in Speaking of MAHA: I wonder what the comparable number is in the US and Canada? I'd guess the US is much the same as the UK. The numbers are different, but this bears that out... https://www.visualcapitalist.com/ultra-processed-food-consumption-by-country/

My cards are not affected. Those charging pads work but are slow compared to a dedicated plug in wire, or usb wire-in which we have on our sockets (my wife informs me)

At 20 ft he must be harnessed. When Nick bouldered there was no harness just a wall height limit. Nothing other than gymnasts chalk for his hands

Did you read the prices at the commissary? Jeez. I wouldn't look for Trump to pardon him. https://nypost.com/2025/06/17/us-news/disgraced-ex-nj-sen-bob-menendez-to-report-to-prison-after-bribery-conviction/

Plus they've still been out there and getting after it for all these years. One cannot say the same for such novelty acts.

Iran 551 Israel 612 Fairly even numbers. Given the stated air dominance by Israel do we know what Iran have? Are they hiding their biplanes from the Israeli F35's or whatever?

Zero chance they are made in America. Also, this just seems like Boost Mobile but with a new branded name. So gross.

Whatever happened to Elon's solar roof? Seemed like a cool idea, on paper at least.
