@jon-nyc said in Race-Based Hiring: Yeah but now we can sick the Civil Rights division of the DoJ on them, subpoena all communications, and fine them on a per-incident basis. And do a handful of corporations too. Then the lawyers and executives will actually shut it down and keep it shut down. You sir, are right.

I have a neighbor who has been working on building a cobra for... years. Seems like a fun hobby, but I have other interests, namely golf.

I don't like the huge 101 classes. Adjuncts are perfectly capable of teaching those. Find some good teachers and limit the class sizes.

"“You also see these billionaires giving money to the President of the United States. And yucking it up there on the dais. " Who bankrolled the ODGCM's inauguration? https://www.businessinsider.com/joe-biden-corporations-president-inauguration-washington-2021-4?op=1 It's a scandal, I tell ya! Trump hasn't had time to give 'em medals. [image: 1737983746094-screenshot-2025-01-27-at-7.15.35-am.png] "That is not how an independent free press behaves. " See Zuckerberg/Rogan podcast "Rubin said the paper had gone from bad to worse." On this, we agree..

I guess you can interpret it that way. However, my comment shows that transportation, per mile, is marginally cheaper now than it was back then. Oops, sorry, I missed your follow-up post. D'oh!

I imagine the “scientists” were women complaining about it being too cold and started playing with the thermostat.

@Copper said in Nine States: @taiwan_girl said in Nine States: they have to be getting the money from somewhere else. Tourists are a good source, they pay and go home so you don't have to provide a lot of resources, education for example. Good point. It would be interesting to see how that works into those states, etc. (on a side note, I remember reading an article once about a big retirement community that was built somewhere in Illinois. The town at first thought it would be a good idea - lots of new homeowners (and new property tax), but very few kids. Big win for the school. Then they found out that any school type of issue on the ballot was usually voted down, so the schools actually got worse. LOL)

@George-K said in Is Trump right?: … and some kind of legislation which defines "subject to..." He says that's a heavy lift. I’ve heard analysts mention this as a possibility. That congress could potentially clarify the definition of ‘subject to the jurisdiction thereof’ but not the president via EO.

I think it is mostly the same for most presidents. The majority of the cabinet candidates are unknown to most people.
