Many decades ago, I was attending a Vladamir Horowitz concert. Of course, it was a sell-out with stage seating. Entering the building a young woman threw up on an impeccably dressed man. She apologized. He was speechless. I had a stage seat. Guess who was sitting next to me? During the first piece, she took her purse, dropped its entire contents onto her lap and then threw up into her purse. I just can't imagine working a day-to-day basis like this, relying on tips at gigs (remember how I posted about someone stealing the cash from the tip jar?). She seems to be surviving. Her husband owns/runs a fancy-schmancy artsy-artsy glass studio on Magazine Street in Nola, so that helps.
